Tie up/Pullback Collars for horses-To Fit

Tie up Collars are widely used for Tie up training of the young horse, pony and miniature. The purpose of this guide is to assist you to be able to measure and fit a horse tie up/pullback collar correctly. We have a large range of standard sizes but there are some horses or ponies that may not suit any of these measurements in which case we will Custom Make them to the size required (at no extra cost). How to Measure the Tie Up CollarNeck and Collar size are not the same!Measurement needs to be taken at the top of the neck, where the Tie up Collar will sit, a firm but not too tight measurement, (firm meaning the item you are measuring with doesn't indent the horses skin, not loose that you can see between measuring item and horse) You can measure with anything you like that doesn't frighten your horses, i.e you can use a lead rope or hayband and then measure off that. We find our horses don't mind the soft dress makers measuring tapes, it is a good idea to check and introduce your horse to whatever you have in your hand before you go to measure. When you place your order please let us know neck measurement if you are not sure of the size required... i.e neck measurement is ?? cm or ?? inches
