SOLUTION/ Better sales volume & More purchasing power
As buyers we are finding it tough too! The whole situation calls for us all to work together more on eBay and as a buyer Iam finding my method is working out quite well. The economy is such that we buyers are trying to stay out of credit card debt and do our ebay buying with cash on hand. Buyers do not always have the funds available to make a payment right on the spot so we don't always get the items that we want and need for our collections etc. A little creative financing is needed to make both the buyer and the seller happy. I suggest that sellers be more open to creative financing on the part of the buyers if they want to see their ebay sales increase. If more buyers were allowed to use the BIN option and then pay for their item at a later date things may work out very well for both seller & buyer. I have been using this method quite alot lately and find it to be of great advantage to both the seller and me Another method worth trying may be the lay a way plan where a buyer uses the BIN option with so much down and so much a week. All done (via PayPal). From a buyers stand point we are not nearly as reluctant to buy at higher BIN prices when using these payment methods. That makes the seller happier :) It's certainly easy enough to checkout a buyer's feedback ratings and that would be of great significance in a sellers decision whether to sell or not. It should be completely understood that the item(s) would not ship until full payment was made. These are only suggestions but as I said they have worked like a charm for me. I am better situated financially to buy more items for my collections due to these methods and the sellers are happier with their sales volume :)
