Save the paper or plastic inserts that cover powder products. They prevent flaking, which wastes powder. Keep cosmetics in a makeup kit, if you carry them in your purse or tote bag. This will prevent them from getting tossed around, which causes the products to crumble. Prevent lipsticks from a craking by extending them no more than 1/2 inch from the tube. Dont pump a mascara wand. This causes to enter the tube and dry out the product, instead, insert the wand, twist, and remove. Keep cosmetics like lipsticks in the refrigerator during hot weather to prevent melt-down. [ Don't leave them in the car on a 90-degree day!]
